SMB Butts

My boat has been out of commission, but luckily my friend John has a boat at his huntington harbor home that he takes me out when I have the itch to go. John has been seeing all these halibut in the reports lately, so he asked me if I knew of any good halibut spots. Since John has been gracious enough to let me use his boat, I took him to some of my halibut honey holes up in the SMB. We have been getting a nice one every trip and have a little halibut streak going. It has been a good back up plan after waiting for the morning seabass bite that dont always materialized. Here are some recent halibuts we have been catching up in the SMB:

John got a new fillet table since we been doing good on the butts and seabass.

Some nice halibuts there but size is hard determine. Did you weigh any of them ?
