4th of july bean

hope everyone had a nice 4th! my brother and i decicded to do some fishing since we both the day off.
didnt know where to go so eneded just north of SM. saw some nice areas and decided to give them a try. all we used were nice dime size sandcrabs pinned sideways and started looking for beans. didint see to much activity at first but then we started landing perch. got the skunk off. we finally hit a nice spot with beans coming in and out of the surf. we watched them for about 5 minutes doing their thing and then starting casting our bait towards them. my brother hook into a good one but busted him off, all we were using was 4 lb floro. he finally landed on and it was on!! great fight for only 16-17 in fish. caught a couple more and that was it. great weather, love summer time!

Now I have a hankering for bean burritos! Never caught one of those but love to see the fish porn of them lovely beans! Thank you for sharing!

thank you for reading. after i heard your report i wanted to pack up and head down to the LAX area and look for some beans.
i'll be back out on the butt hunt next weekend. been giving the LC's some rest, think its time to whip em out!

its fustrating and spooky when they run right into your legs. but fighting these bruisers on 4lb line is a blast!!!!

congratulations on your new baby, she's beautiful! babys are so amazing, enjoy them they grow up too fast. my boy is 15 months old and he's a hand full....but always brings a huge smile tio my face :-)
