Hello everyone I got a Abu Garcia bruiser 7'' medium heavy spinner.. I just bought a swimbait 8" inch savage-gear trout. Any ideas or tips for this pole. how many pounds is recommended for line or what type of line. Thanks you
I would have gone with a longer rod, but 7' will work with that type of lure. Probably want to go with 20lbs test, Big Game is always a decent line and low cost point, I don't know the weight of an 8" savage I've got several of the 7" but have heard the 8" are fairly heavy, also heard the rate of fall is pretty fast so be careful around structure and weed beds, good luck.
