Headed to corona Del Mar on Friday with the family and thought I would do a little fishing in the channel near the bait barge. Two weeks earlier had been fun as I had caught two short butts, a nice stingray and some always annoying jacksmelt. It was fun all around and my first butts of summer, no pun intended! But on Friday the skunk was on! Big Hammers...no, Squid...no, Chovies...no, LC...no. No matter what was put into the water it was a big negative. The first skunk in quite a while, but not to be the last. It was, at least, better than working....
