Just got off the Grande. Did a 1.5 day trip down to the Colnett area. We fished as far as 135 miles down but the action started at about 110 miles down. Nice, weather and a good group of guys. We had several productive stops on the paddies that yielded yellowtail limits for all in the 10 pound class. One fish was in the upper 20s. Late in the afternoon, the boat passed over a sonar mark and James yelled "throw bait!!!!". The tuna came up and boiled hard across the stern for a moment. I was one of two lucky anglers who got hooked up. I whooped mine in less than 5 mins on 30 lb. and the other guy got his in about 15-20 mins on 40 pound. Both fish were in the 30 pound class and fat! Mine soaked up the JP, too. :Big Grin:
