7 Lbs 25" AV West Side

Tried to catch my pole at the AV Sportsman Syphon this morning. Nothing doing for fish or poles in let and outlet.
Figured to hit the gates @ 195th and along the way stopped at the Ave H bridge and hooked the fish around the Rosamond water outlet. Caught on a Pumpkin Spice fluke (my new favorite color) and an ounce round plain lead head jig. Will post a pic later.
When I got to 195th at app 8:30 the gates were pretty much shut and no bites there.

Nice catch! You were due. I see you pound it and that's a nice average size fish you got. One of the nicer ones I got last week had four 2.5" to 3" perch in it. They are not shad.

I am hooked on this fluke fishing. I had a bass pro $25 gift card and we were down that way Saturday, so I bought several colors of super flukes and a bag of 1 oz lead heads. Spent
$24.67. Got the pumpkin spice, white ice, lemon shad & white chart oh and a spool of 12 lb line.
I sat a bait pole out this morning, but it never got bit.....once I am convinced nothing is gonna hit the flukes, then it's time to reel in the bait pole and go to the next spot.
