Thank you all for the replies! :Cool: I have to apologize for not making individual responses but it seems that here lately my time to fish and post has been limited but hopefully that is going to change soon.

The decision to hit the beach was one of those last minute deals where I woke up early and thought to myself I could just sit around and drink coffee all morning and watch someone else fishing on the television or I could grab my gear and hit the beach for a quick morning session. Hitting the beach is always a good choice and I wasn't dissapointed.
I went directly to an area where I almost always get at least a short halibut and as the morning wore on the sand filled up with more and more anglers and I figured it was just about time to cut my losses and accept a skunk. Then as I was thinking about rolling it up for the day my Lucky Craft was slammed just as I was about to pull it up out of the water for another cast. After a short and impressive battle I pulled the fish out to see that I had caught my biggest corbina on the L.C. Definitely a great way to start the morning. :Wink:
