any size?:) im at the golf course rd side of taft stuck 3 on topwater any suggestions on stretch to fish?

Ended up with 2 more for a total of 7. The last 2 took way longer to get than the first 5. Gates shut down around 11. Super windy out west. I get home and not even a breeze lol.

I was in the west AV. Since you are in Taft, you might as well gate hop up to Buttonwillow. Did the flow stop up there too? Seems to be shutting off here around 11ish.

You better rethink it! I might take a little nap and try for another round this evening? I want to catch the last two fish that I missed. Then there will be nothing left to catch HAHA. 3 would be even better to get me to that 10 limit we get to enjoy. I doubt I will go back out but you never know.

Lures. I'm much too impatient to bait and wait. That should answer your second question too :Big Grin:
3 from one spot, then 2 from another then 1 from another and finally 1 from another. What I can tell you is that the morning 5 when I initially posted came from mid to upper water column. The final 2 later in the morning came from the bottom. My educated guess is that as the day warmed and sun got higher in the sky they moved deeper or didn't want to chase the mid to upper presentation.

Had a little time to kill from 7:30 to 9 so I went east to hopefully get a break from the wind but it was windy there too this morning lol. Caught one and released it. I gave it specific instructions to bite koifish later tonight and to bring its relatives :-) Flow was going backwards in open water when I had to leave which means it was just being shut down. A couple of hours earlier than yesterday's shut down.

I can confirm this. Today was a total Oven! Stripers everywhere! Flukes/ A rigs/ Jerkbaits. depending on the weed of course. Topwater got me nothing today. All i got was explosions

Got skunk last night from west to east...Super Fullmoon, nice cold weather but no bites LOL...Met Moparferlife at the East. He was about to walk to the spot but when he saw me came out with empty hand he called it a night hahaha....Nice to meet you Mopar..
