June Bassin' at Big Bear

Hey everyone, my daughter has been bugging me for weeks to take her out to Big Bear so she can take some nature pics for her photography class. So I finally gave in and told her I'd take her this Sunday on the condition that she bass fish with me after she's done playing with her camera. Anyways, I was wondering if you guys had any specific areas that would be good for bass fishing from shore? I know that east towards stanfield by the docks and rocks were pretty good a few years back; is that still true now? Would really like to put my babygirl on some fish this weekend, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What type of bass do you want to get? Big bear has smallies and largemouth in there. The weeds are everywhere along the shore so you need not find a place with no weeds.

All the bass are holding on the east side closer to stanfield. I caught some nice smallies on the troll this past weekend.
