Little man and me went out again to do some Striper fishing. We woke up an hour late due to accidentally hitting the dismiss alarm button, ah well! As soon as we hit
the water it was fish on. The water temp was at 68 when we arrived and then 74 when we left. We fished from 7:30 till noon, Our trip was cut short due to running out of fuel.

As far as the striper activity goes. I was surprised to see them still very deep. 70, 80, 90ft plus and. Last time we were there in Dec or Jan they were in the same depth. I saw a few
2 or 3 schools in the 30-40 ft range and that's were we hooked up.
We still had fun and I'm sure will be back soon. I'm not sure how soon, LMB fishing has been good and consistent to us lately.

Anyone else ever use 5gl buckets or anything else to slow down their trolling speed? I was thinking of getting a 4hp kicker but I don't troll much.

Great to see you with you son! I caught one in the fall @ the 'wood in the 6.5lb range but thought he was more like 7.5 or 8. lol Thanks for the bucket trick, that's awesome.
