Went to Cabo San Lucas last week on vacation and decided to charter a boat to see what the fishing was all about. It was either 40 miles out for marlin or stay inshore. Captain made the right call and we fished inshore for Roosterfish and I ended up with this beauty!! So Stoked!!

Beautiful fish but I a surprised they gaffed that fish. I have never heard of anyone even wanting to eat Rooster fish. Maybe this one is destine for the wall.

Ditto to that LBSea. Nice rooster. Too bad he was gaffed. Well, you'll know for next time-Some captains just need to be told that they need to release beforehand. I'm heading to Costa Rica next week to try for the 50-80lb. models. Hope I am as lucky as you.
