SD County Hali Hunt 6/15am

Just got in from a quick 1 hour Hali hunt at my playground. Hit the sand at 5:20 am this morning to fish some of the outgoing tide. Water temp felt about 65-67, light wind of the SW, minimal salad and great structure. Hit the same hole my Corvina came from the other day know that there had to be more fish lurking in it. Had a few hits here and there but nothing stuck. About 45 minutes in and I finally got a good violent strike and strong head shakes, hali on! Pretty quick battle with this one, must of been tired or something. Got the fish to dry sand for a measure and a few quick pics and then sent him on his way home. Measured out at 27 1/2 inches. MS Aurora Black strikes again. Thanks for reading. Now go get some fish. Sorry about the first pic, my photographers finger was blocking the lens a bit, LOL.

Thank you Arthur!!! That trough is huge. I get all pumped up when I am working a retrieve and all that water just becomes so calm and you have that feeling that something big is going to slam your bait and make your drag scream.

Thanks Thein. I was going to head back tomorrow but my son isn't feeling to good so we are going to sleep in. Monday though, I will be there!
