Haven't had anything to write about lately, but I finally do now!
So a buddy of mine decided to invite me on a charter out of Ventura Sportfishing on Channel Islands. Now you mind me that there were two things that made this a no brainer for me.
1. Never Having Fished the Channel Islands
2. White seabass had been showing all over there, and I've been on the hunt for a legal WSB since...forever.
Tried to sleep at 8 PM, but being the 25 year old I am, no way my body was used to sleeping that early, so I tossed and turned till 1:30 AM and got on the road. Got there at 3..expecting to leave at 4, but turns out the trip leaves at 5, and we all know how we hate that agonizing wait. Those hours turn into eons!
Finally get under way, and head two hours to where they had gotten limits the day before, and everyone is STOKED. Drive through the parking lot and finally get anchored up. Got that feeling it's going to be an epic day....and all I can say is that it was EPIC for me. Not anyone else though.
The final count for the day was 35 angelers - 8 WSB and 1 Halibut.
I should have gone to Vegas cause I nailed 3 in a period of about 25 minutes.
I'll let the pictures do the talking.

And even got my first full footage on the go pro!
This was my third fish, and getting plenty of dirty looks at this point!

I can finally cross that elusive Ghost off my list.
Finally!
