Got up the mountain late Saturday morning June 1. Got on the water at Windy Point about 2pm. Very windy, but trying for some bass. Got lots of hits, landed a couple LMBs but none were very big (1 to 1.5 lb size). Also plenty of crappy. Mainly throwing a 3/8oz white spinner bait to get landed bass. Senko did OK, but not as well. One junior picked up a fly - and all the crappie were on the fly (woolly bugger).

Relocated to the far west end in the late afternoon for trout. Not a single tap. Forgot the camera Saturday so no pix.

Woke early Sunday hunting more bass at the pine knot jetty. Barely any hits until the breeze picked up. Got a beauty 3.5 lb, 19" LMB (2 pics below) on a watermelon colored senko. Nice fish for BBL!! Jet ski rental started so I got off the water and relocated to the Observatory.

Incredible windy at the Observatory and the weeds were INSANE!!!! Not sure if it was the low water level or lack of weed abatement, but the weeds were thick more than half way from the shore to the jetty point.

Tossed senkos into the little shade left and hit nice hits and two LMBs (each pictured below). Got lots more hits but only landed two more small ones. Wind was pretty brutal but it just made it that much more interesting. Couldn't find any more bass hitting after 1pm, so I got off the water for the day.

Monday drove down to Jenks Lake to shoot trout in a barrel on the fly. Landed 20 lost at least 60. All were small stockers. Biggest was just over 1lb. Typical stocker pic below. Beautiful morning on that horrible mud-hole of a fishing spot ;)

Cheers!

Eric
