Bruiser 'Gills

Went out today for a couple of hours to do a little ultralight fishing for Bluegill. How can anyone not love these tough fighters that can take several minutes to get in on 1 and 2 lb test line? Love these colorful fish! I Released all I caught.

Very nice indeed, you have those Panfish dialed in. I am going to have to spool up some 1# Nanofil on my ultralight and put on board Ole Blue for when the Bass action is in a lull. I bet those are a fightin' fool on ultralight and 1# line. I may even have to buy a 2 or 3wt fly rod to try it also.

Wow! That picture says it all. Perris is the best for gills. Nice catch for sure.

I did. That is in my opinion a good lake for big gills. My bad! for assuming it was Perris.
