What are the hours allowed for fishing?

Is it a safe area to fish alone?

Is the lake cold enough to keep trout year long?

Will trout be available from shore fishing?

Been having serous skunk problems and need to catch some fish. Response s and advice welcome.

From a boat: 7am to 5pm From shore: basically anytime

I would say its safe to fish there alone, there's normally a lot of people

Yes it is. I fish there year round and have caught 14 trout in one day in the middle of June all bigger than a pound

Yes they are. In the morning, spoons work well and all day, mice tails and powerbait work great

Hope this helps, good luck!

Go tomorrow (Sat) for the fishing derby. They stock for derbies. $1500 cash top prize etc. Rent a boat if you are familiar with fishing from a boat. Can catch trout all year round though slows down late winter as they don't stock Nov to April.

Bass Boy is right on.

Use 2 lbs leader. Inflated nightcrawler usually works when you really need some catch. The area by the baseball field is a good spot. The trout size and amount are at the mercy of DFW and they do plant nearly all year except winter months.

Thank you everyone. There are no fish in the duct, Silverwood is to tough a Mistress, and the next closest free fishing is Gregory.

Thank you.

Very simple lake to fish. If you don't do good there is a Mcdonalds and 7-11 there that even things out.

inflated night crawler, Carolina rigged, on about two pound test. two foot leader should be good. right now the fish are not too terribly deep so your casts don't need to go a country mile, that wont come until July.
