Feet hit the sand about 6am to an overcast sky, yet not very cold out

though. Only hit three diff. spots today and all but one gave a short or

two. Looks real fishy all up and down the LBC coast, and sure was

a nice peacefull day especially when in at a couple of spots I was the only

Ouch, that's one big parasitic isopod for a small fish. looks like it would have died either way :LOL:

These Sand Dabs I get in 180' off Pt Fermin are loaded with those things. Big ones too about 1".

Yeah !!! :Wink::Idea: That Idea is just what I was thinking when I was hooking into them !!!

Once the bait presence improves it should get good soon, because the waters are more consistantly warmer these days,

and I did hook into more than I actually pic.ed but were only handsize ones. :Rolls Eyes: The LBC size ratio in LBC last summer

was about a hundred shorts to One Legal :Rolls Eyes::LOL::LOL: Due to family responsibility I am limited in time and or drive to good other

Halibut A.O.,s so I hope I can fine tune where I do fish enough to improve the ratio :Smile:

Way to go out there,i think the fishing in LBC has been slow due to over fishing the past couple years I have also noticed a lot of the bucket brigaders will take any size fish if its a bass or hali they take it and that's bad news bears. Call the dfg if you see this i have dfg on speed dial lol

i've been hitting LB since my college years and only caught pancakes there, ive seen some folks catch big ones though, they mostly use live bait (smelt) and seem to do pretty well. others toss the swimbaits and land some fattys.
pancakes are fun on light tackle, looks like you had a great time. thnaks for the pictures and report!
