Got to lake about 5:30pm. Got a tip from surfnsnowbaord3 to use mackeral instead of nightcrawlers for cats. Within 15 minutes into the water, got my first strike. It felt big and was big. Not sure, but I think it may be a 5 pounder. About 20 minutes later, another strike! Felt bigger than the last one. Reeled it in within 6 feet of shore, lost it! So bummed! At 7:30, line went bendo again. This one was hooked pretty good. Forgot my net, so I had to lift this sucker up with my little rod. Snap!...went the rod. Broke in two! Oh well...at least I got a cat. Well worth it. At 8:00, the last cat decided to play. In between the cats were a few blue gils, a talapia, and a crappie. Overall, it was a good night. Enjoyed the peace and serenity. Thanks for reading all.
Hope I attached the photos right...
