Well me and pontoon left the house and arrived at 5:30am with a stop at McDonalds. Launched at 5.45 to windy conditions. Trolled by Camp Nine and had 4 fish by 6:20 --sweet! Kept catching big crappie and small trout. Even in 2 to 3 foot swells the bite was on fire. Crappie after crappie after crappie. We looked around and we were the only boat in the water that we could see. Headed in sideways because if we went straight water was splashing in the boat. We were soaking wet but were laughing the whole way. Finaly I punched it and we were going airborne and coming down hard on the water. Got the boat out and found the best mexican restaraunt on this planet. It was right next door to the Lake Isabela Market. Checked the internet and found out sundays wind forecast was worse so we turned around and cut the vaction short and drove back home. 320 miles in one day! What a blast. Thanx pontoon for all the fun and laughs. We also got a nice picture of a dust devil in Lamont. Found out the "Grapes of Wrath" was filmed in Weedpatch Calif -wow! This is Sunday and we just got through fishing Irvine and caught some nice trout. Thanx every one for reading.

Hey Buddy, Team Trolltoon Road Trips are always memorable events!

You told me before we took of on this trip that it was going to be worth all the effort and leaving the house at 1:00 am to hit the road was well definitely worth it and I'm ready to make the trip again. When you said the crappie were on fire on the troll you weren't kidding Buddy and having a few trout in the mix was pretty cool too! We set out to fish two days and although we had to make the choice to cut our losses with the weather it wasn't too tough to make the choice to hit the home lake today. We're going to make that trip again real soon and next time we'll take the other Lund.

Thanks for everything Trolly and I'll see you on the water somewhere next week. :Thumbs Up:

Wtg guys!,,,,,,,,,it's trips like these that you remember for years to come that you can sit back and laugh about like the one to salton sea me and my buddies took 25 years ago
in early february thinking we were going to catch some fish in 40 degree weather. Turned out all we caught was alot of dust in our faces, and having to sleep five guys in a
82 nova wasn't fun either.
Those are the trips that will never be forgotten!!

This is so true and I agree, trips like these are what it's all about and the memories last forever. I have been fishing with Trollmiester for a lot of years now and we've had a lot of memorable trips. A lot of them did't involve epic fishing or high fish counts either. It's just the things that we all go through to do the one thing we all like to do.......Fish!
I've got a lot of respect for Friends that get together like we do and post reports, Cutbait and Trail Blazer, Hardcor and his brothers and T.O., Rooster and our Team 57 Friends that Fisherman 57 brought together and our SWAT Friends that Wingnut has brought together. All good people having good times fishing with friends.

Your trip to Salton Sea had me smiling because I thought back to a road trip I took to the Bishop area with Trolly and T.O........The fishing was awesome and the rock that was named in honor of Trolly was hilarious. But, the one thing that sticks in my mind was when we went in to Bishop and all three of us ate enough barbeque to feed ten people. Trolly ate so much all he could do was lay on the floor in our hotel room and moan like an old plow mule. Trolly looked over to T.O. and said "Here's what I want you to do......climb up on that refrigerator and jump off on to my gut so I can get rid of this food." T.O. looked over at me, shrugged his shoulders and comenced to climb up on the frige. Trolly, realizing that T.O. might just do what he asked, jumped up off the floor and hauled tail out the door and down the street! Yes Sir.......good Times for sure! :Thumbs Up:

Oh yeah, Trolly..........I got the lures this morning!

Another great Team Trolltoon adventure. Bummer about the wind but you guys made the best of it and slayed some crappie and trout. Very cool. I love that lake and haven't been in awhile. Might have to make another run there. Thanks for another great report!

I love the fishing excursions that don't turn out how you antisappated, but it's great how you have to bring your A-Game in order to get the job done in order to fill your stringer and get you back to dry land safely. Great job on making the decision to head back home safely and being able to fish another day. As we say at water & power,,,,,,,,"safty first, work second"
