Hey there Swat folk ...this is Wharf Rat checking in. Been hitting the surf between saw cuts as much as possible , which is never enough ! Still looking for that Swat Challenge fish , proving hard to get :( Perchin Dave and I have been hunting the big BSP's lately , but have not seen the prime conditions. The right type of waves , low side current , low wind, clear water with mud rips , along with good holes and the right tide height has not lined up all together for us yet. It's magic when it does. Last few times out produced low numbers of fish . A few 13-15's found here and there . Yesterday I landed a 40" shovelnose , snagged the top middle fin , a real work out on light line! The real prize of the year so far came a couple weeks ago in Carpentaria …
