Wild rainbows in the brush...Report

Hit up the San Bern Mountains for some wild rainbow trout action today. Glad the weather cooled down a bit, but I will not be doing much more rainbow fishing until after the summer-this creek was warm! I wonder if the fish will survive the coming dry months. Anyway, my friends and I hiked in and fished for several hours. We landed a few small trout, enjoyed the scenery, and did our best to avoid the abundant poison oak and other natural hazards. Light line, tiny lures, catch and release. I hope you enjoy the photographs!

Two years ago the creeks had more water in October than what we have in the spring of this year.
I hope that we get some good summer rains.

Nice, I fished that part of the creek with my brother a few times when I was a kid.
