Which sites or resources do you guys use to check conditions before heading to the surf and what do you look for? Like what kind of conditions are optimal? If I lived closer to the sand it wouldn't be such a big deal and I'd probably just go regardless, but being 100 miles away I want to be sure I have a decent chance before driving all that way. Heck, I'd be out there at least 4 days a week if I lived closer (since I only work 3 ;)
Thanks for any input!

I personally use surfline.com. Optimal conditions to me are low swells between 0-3 feet and low wind or santa ana winds. Only because I don't like fighting the waves and casting is hard with a wind against your face. I don't get much luck with bites when the wind picks up out of nowhere either. I notice some beaches need bigger swells, maybe because fish feel safer when the surf is up, but who knows. Conditions are all preference and you can catch fish in almost any swell/windy conditions.
