Here are all the Great reasons to fish at Irvine Lake this summer:
New catch and release policy. You will be allowed to catch and release catfish all day long!! There is still a 5 catfish take home limit.
Catch a blue over 15 lbs, check it in with the tackle shop, safely release your catch and we will give you 1 free admission.
Catch a blue over 20 lbs and safely release it and we will give you 2 free admission passes.
Monthly specials starting June: Bite On Bonanza Bounty for the heaviest catfish of the month (see our website for details: http://www.irvinelake.net/fishing/tournaments/tournaments/46
"The General" - 1 catfish per month will be marked with a special red/white & blue numbered tag. Catch "The General" and get $100 instant cash and a ticket for the King of the Cats wild card drawing.
King of the Cats Tournament series - Lake stays open until 2 am on all Tournament days.
10,000 more pounds of trophy catfish to be stocked for the opener!
$1000 reward for anyone who can break Catmando's record 89.6 lb Blue catfish caught back in 1999
The King of the Cats Championship at the end of the summer. Qualify in one of our series tournaments and fish for a prize package worth $5000 and the Title of King/Queen of the Cats!
