Kern River report?

Does any one have a recent Kern River report? I searched for a report and one came up that sounded good but is there any recent news? good spots?, good baits? How are the crowds during Memorial wkend? Especially up by Brush Creek...?

The upper Kern is stocked almost every week this time of year. Fish near any campground for stocked fish. As for bait, use a single hook and a salmon egg and a small splitshot, but check with James Store in Kernville. If you don’t like crowds, don’t go on Memorial Day weekend.
