I wonder if Deps have any patents for the design that they filed in the US, knowing that they're a Japanese company.
If not, just wait for Lucky E Strike to straight up copy the design, then mass produce the baits in (ready for this?), CHINA, OMG! and pass the costs along to you, the consumer.

No but I don't think you understood his main point.
There are several glide baits out there similar to the deps slide swimmer, but you have to understand that these baits have been out for a while until butch started blowing them up. I'm pretty sure they have been patented.

After putting on my contacts, I see that in my eyes, the Megabass Vision 110 is a lot smaller than the Deps Slideswimmer.

hahaahha yeah id probly opt for a single deps rather then 200 dollars worth of these baits but to each there own... the whole fishing industry is in short copying each other look at the Gan Craft claw and the River2sea S waver look at the yamaoto senko and a zoom senko..with that said i think a company will come out with a similar bait to the slide swimmer with more of a reasonable price and avialabitly. Whether its made in china or here one day a bait will be produced by another company that is similar to the deps
