Anglers that where able to make out to the lake today where once again rewarded with a spectacular Channel Catfish bite. Having worked at the lake for nearly 15yrs this author has seen some pretty wide open bites where the boats on the water resembled the Hunigton Flats Sand Bass flotal of years goin by but never has the action been this good on not just numbers but size! Thanks in part to a MASSIVE 10,000lbs stocking of Trophy sized Channel Catfish this weekend was one to remeber for new anglers to Irvine Lake and to the seasoned veterans of the lake. Even the Magic Man Mits Onizuka was like a kid in a candy shop with the bite. If you are able to sneak away or are feeling that "BLUE AND CHANNEL" Flu coming on it be a good idea to get on the water these next few days and capatialize on this stellar bite.

Anglers found the fish in the same haunts as yesterday and the limits that came into the shop where once again very impressive. A lot of anglers that came out today where way undergunned for what they where about to encounter. The three pictures I am posting are three of those stories. All three anglers came out to fish trout but when they heard of what has been dubbed "THE BITE ON BITE!" they quickly changed species targeted from Trout to Catfish. Little problem was all three guys had 4lb being the heaviest line in their quiver.

Micheal Hamadi has been fishing the Irvine Lake for the past few months for Trout and has had some great success. When he heard about how good THE BITE ON BITE was he bought a tub of Bite On Mac and figured he would give it a shot. Three hours later and 28.8lbs of hard pulling, 4lb drag searing Channel Catfish later he had a very solid limit. Micheal was stoked on his VERY 1ST Catfish outing to the lake to say the least!

Edgar Sandez of Corona is no stranger to Irvine Lake Trout Tournaments and getting big Trout to say the very least! However Edgar heard about and saw the BITE ON BITE on facebook and this message fourm and was able to sneak away for the morning. Good call Edgar! On a very rare Catfish trip to the lake Edgar was able to boat this 32.8lb limit of Channel Catfish. Edgar was using fresh Mackeral dipped in Bite On Mackeral. Edgar was quoted as saying "That bite on Cajun is no joke the Cats love that stuff. Wide Open on that stuff!"

Heres another angler who is absolutley no stranger to Irvine Lake trout and crappie tournaments Mr Eric Apelilian of Lakewood. The Apellian family figured theyd celebrate Mothers Day with a nice relaxing day of fishing trout with the whole family. Well once again they cashed in on the BITE ON BITE. The family landed these four GIGANTIC Channel Catfish that tipped the scales to 30.0lbs. The Apelian family used Mackeral and Shrimp dipped in Bite On Cajun.

Once again guys and gals we will be stocking another 10,000lbs of these TROPHY sized fish just prior to our Catfish Season kickoff which will take place Friday June 7th. Our first tournament will be the Catfish Kickoff which will be held on June 8th!! With the size of the fish that we have allready put in and what is due to come it could take over a double digit just to crack the top 10! This Catfish Season is going to be on for the books dont miss out! And keep checking back on here and our facebook to get up to the minute details on offers and what the fish are doing!
