I know this is late post but whatever
So my wife and I sometimes hit up this small spot that has some carp, cats, bluegill, some bass as well
we always use light tackle because its a small area.
2-4 lb test with smaller poles..
We catch carps around this size and some bigger ones too

anyways. . . . long story short, the pole i was using broke in half because I got it from a kid who was smacking it on the ground ( weeks ago ) complaining that he has not caught a fish with it , so he gave it to me...
My wife just so happened to buy me a blackmax 2 weeks ago and ive barely been practacing with it.
So i get it tie my weight and hook on throw it out about 3 feet because im still learning with this baitcasting stuff. I put my pole down for about 10 seconds and WAAAAMOOOOOOOO

took about 15 minutes to pull him in on 12 lb and as i was pulling him up the line snapped but i had him pinned against the rock with my net and i wiggled him in the net thank goodness! :EyePop:
