Was already at the lake for other reasons so got a little fishing in off the dam. Got a timid bite, then another and hooked it this time. Nothing for a while after that, then 3 within the next half hour, the last being a real nice smallmouth.
My phone died right after that pic, so I told myself one more and I'll go. It took longer than expected but was a real nice fish... has that "one more and I'll go" thing ever worked for anyone? So of course I stayed another 30 minutes and called it quits. All on simple brown plastic worms, I tried a few other things for nothing. Timid except the good period I'm gonna attribute to the wind picking up.
There were a lot of fight and jumps in these guys, and that smallie was a delight.
