Hit the lake today for a few hours casting for bass. Started at the Sailboat House, worked my way up to the tank with a few tiny taps, but nothing significant.
I then made my way to the small lake's south shore, and worked a long it. I came to the spot where I had caught the bluegill a few days ago. I cast and retrieved along the trashcan in the water and got hit HARD. After a fight, I pulled this guy out and snapped a photo before sending him back.
He was about 14 or 15 inches, maybe a pound or so. Didn't get hit again after that, but was definitely happy with a decent bass from Fairmount!
Water is still very cloudy. Saw a TON of shad everywhere, but nothing seemed to be chasing them.
