They were all sprouting up, near a creek. All with two leaves, not three. Thanks!

No GoGreenz, you can't smoke this one.

I just saw this post. I wish you could give more info on the plant. I took plant ID so I might be able to tell you what it is if I have more on it.

Strange. it strongly resembles poison oak.

it could be some kind of aralia or Ivy, though.

There's only one way to know for sure- strip naked and rub the leaves all over yourself.

It's going to be tough to identify these plants because these are young seedlings. I need to see a larger plant with more mature leaves, and the basic shape of an older plant. A botanist would no doubt know what these are.

Sounds legit!

Background: These were growing along a creek in the San Bern mountains. At the time, there was a few larger clumbs of obvious poison oak in the general area. I was concerned that these little guys might have been young poison oak as well, and that I would need to be extra careful when washing my gear and clothes (had to go through plenty of 'em to fish). However, it's been several months since I went through 'em and didn't have any problems. Was simply hoping for confirmation that there were not poison oak hahaha!

Leaves of three leave it be, three or more have some more. That was how i was told remember poison oak.

Wait, what?

What if it has three leaves? Am I leaving it be, or am I smoking some more?

I think it's "Leaves of three, wipe with me."
