I always see guys fishing down there when I drive by on the freeway. Is it legal? Where can you park and not get a ticket? Do you have to bike in on the Santa Ana River Trail?

There are people there DAILY. Not worried about that. Dont know if they are there legally or not. If they are "undocumented" folks fishing there, then tickets dont matter to them. A ticket matters to me.

Oh you have to know I hate that word!

He's right you can fish anywhere there is not a no fishing sign, in fact many on this website do not even recognize a no fishing sign as a reason not to fish, have at it fishing anarchy!!!!

I'm not worried about the fishing, there are no signs. I'm worried about the PARKING. Where can you park and not get a ticket or towed?

Jesus, at this point, I better put a sign in front of my house telling people it's not OK to come in and steal my dog and my flatscreen TV.

I used to fish there a long time ago before it got built up. Used to just pull off the side of the 71and park on the dirt somewhere. Don't know if you could still do that now, though. The only thing I've caught there were carp and catfish. Is it legal? Honestly, I don't know but have never been harrassed or cited and I'm sure quite a few Chino Hills cops and CHP's have seen me pull off the 71and/or pulling out my tackle.

In the green goo with all the bird crap? Yea lot's of bait in there also, those turtles are eating something, never seen any blowups but usually when I'm there I'm not thinking about fishing.

Ninja fishing? The man is everywhere there, don't know how smart doing the ninja is there.

The only thing I know about this place is that it used to be a dumping ground for dead bodies before they built it up. I don't know about now though.

I'll just leave it at this: yes, there are larger fish in there than baitfish. It's also disgusting in the amount of chemicals pumped in to control algae. The Federal man is all over that place in his Charger(s(.
