Perris Bass from shore

Didn't get there until about 7:30 and started at lots 5&6 for nothing but a few trout. So at like 9 decided to hit lots 11 & 12 for some bass. I saw them chasing the shad in the shallows so I managed to catch some shad and just fly lined them on a single hook and instantly got 1. Well did that 2 more times to manage 3 that were all about 2-3 lbs. I didn't see them chasing shad where I was so I went to the right side and managed 5 more on shad. Missed about 3 times. Lost one that was at least 5-6 lbs. I really came to go bluegill fishing and didn't have my bass box but atleast I still managed some. What else are the bass hitting on from shore?

use the simple plastics for instance the ika and if your seeing them chase those shad around i say throw a jerkbait, crankbait, or a spinnerbait at them :)
