Started out early on the troll and caught and released 2 little trout about 11-12 in. but fightin little guys . The wind came up early on the lk. today and got about 20-25 mph . Not alot of fun trolling in the wind but did manage to catch and keep these two nice 16 in. holdovers . I caught most right around the Observatory and the two bigger ones came on the flat line fishing a firetiger rapala and the other on a gold Thomas bouyant . Fishing on the other side of boat with the same at 2.50 colors lead didnt even get a bite . SAW ALOT of fish stacked up around the Observatory but maybe a little early still ? I had a friend cruise over and said what a tough bite today and talked to another guy and said fishing was slow . I hate yard work so Iam going back up tomarrow , unless the wind is blowin hard again , ha // dbhttp://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/4-13bigbeartrout002_zps57297d71.jpg (http://s599.photobucket.com/user/db_bucket_photos/media/4-13bigbeartrout002_zps57297d71.jpg.html)http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/4-13bigbeartrout001_zps1264294b.jpg[URL=http://s599.photobucket.com/user/db_bucket_photos/media/4-13bigbeartrout003_zpsa7bca85e.jpg.html]http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/4-13bigbeartrout003_zpsa7bca85e.jpg (http://s599.photobucket.com/user/db_bucket_photos/media/4-13bigbeartrout001_zps1264294b.jpg.html)http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/4-13bigbeartrout006_zps0f666931.jpg (http://s599.photobucket.com/user/db_bucket_photos/media/4-13bigbeartrout006_zps0f666931.jpg.html)

Thanks for the report DB, I'm thinking a trip up the hill isn't too far off into the future, those are some nice holdovers! Did you try the west end at all or did you concentrate mostly near the observatory?

Hey DB - We were out there fighting with you from about 10am to 5:30pm. I landed one very nice trout from a bobber in Papoose bay - lots three on the troll. We were marking tons of fish with Jim's new electronics. I'm sure many were carp but the 15-30 foot range was loaded and we were trolling pretty deep - always had at least one line trolling higher in the water, but none of those got hit. Observatory looked great - triangle looked great, just about everywhere looked great on the electronics, but the bite and wind was brutal. Out again today - will have to stop around 2 - i'll try to post-up some pix later.
