Me and my brother went out of 22nd st yesterday on the Pursuit and the water looked fairly calm, calmer then piru in the afternoon and was wondering how my boat would do out to Catalina. We say we got it but would like you ocean goers to chime in. I have a nitro 189 sport. It sits kinda low to the water so I'm not sure.

I would check the weather 1st for sure....I have been over alot in my boat Most of the time I have gone across seas are flat in the early morning but not all the time......Just be prepared and head for home before noon, wind always kicks up in the afternoon, That you can count on

and have

GPS....sometimes foggy in the Morning
Vessel Assist towing package,
Marine radio,also a handheld
Plenty of gas...looking for fish eats up the gas

Dont think I would take a chance on that boat. Sits awfully low to the water. You would get swamped by the super tanker wakes, or anything else that comes at your stern
