Newport back bay has a lot bat ray. Just toss a dead bait on the bottom and wait.

I too think newport back bay would be your best choice, some big one in there

Try night fishing by the 2nd St bridge/Mothers beach/Naples.
Those areas where the channels get narrow.
The dead end of Marine stadium too.
