Well, It has been a while since I have posted. I mean a very long while. It's hard to believe I have been a member of this site for 10 years (started in 2003)

I am now livin up in Mammoth Lakes. Been doing a little fishing Mostly at PVR and Owens (opener is 27th of this month)

Thought I woudl share.

Been doing a lot of fly fishing and Jig fishin. (i have given up on fishing with meat) mostly because I catch and release and do not want to harm them to let some one else get them.

Anyways. PVR has been awesome... I have had 30-40 fish days. The Middle and Lower owens has also been very good....

here are some pics.

I am hoping to post more timely reports for you guys.

Thanks,
jimmy

Nice work Jimmy....love them PVR brownies (for catching not for eating).

What do you do in Mammoth if you don't mind me asking? When I signed up for this site in 2004 I lived in Irvine and worked for an IT company...now I live in Bishop and am in the resort biz. You know you've got the outdoor bug bad when you relocate for your passions hahaha.

peace,
smitty

Hey Smitty-

I am the Director of Advertising for the MMSA. It's great being able to work at a place that you love. ALL of it, the fishing, hiking camping, biking and Snowsports!

Thanks,
Jimmy

Sweet! I think I might head up for the opener next Sunday. Wanted to try out ice fishing, do you think Sabrina or South Lake will have ice for this years opener like previous. I know it has been pretty warm this spring, so not sure if it is still hanging in there. If not I'll probably find somewhere else to fish.

I don't think I'd do any ice fishing this year. i hear Rock Creek Lake has lots of open water already. Go Kings!!

NO ice fishing this year, in Bishop Creek Canyon at least. Virginia's might be safe, might, but definitely no ice fishing at Sabrina and South Lake. Whatever ice that's left is dark or slushy. Be safe friends!
