Well, I headed south today to try my luck at some fat Perch, or whatever wanted to hit the hardbait...

My bait of choice today was an Owner Ripn Minnow 65. Dont know what the exact color was, but it has a nice wobble when retrieved with a slow steady cadence...

I cast to a variety of holes, and eddies created by the falling tide, but I hardly got the action I was looking for. I did get one hookup that was VERY unfamiliar to me, it seemed like it wasnt a Perch on the other end, but alas, the fish came unbuttoned, as my sanity almost did... Anyway, I kept casting away, finally pickin up two nice, nearly identical Perch for my efforts.

I wasnt blessed with the fortune of catching a Flattie today, but I feel like my time is coming soon. I cant wait until the day that I am able to lift a Halibut from the waves in triumph!!! LOL

Thanks for reading, fellas!!!

Cool looking hard bait, nice alternative to the Lucky Craft 65SP.
Gotta throw the bigger bait to have a better chance at the Flat ones or something more sinister.  :Envious:

Nice looking crankbait. That size works very well for those perches. Thanks for the report .

At your rate, you should get a halibut in no time, perhaps a legal :EyePop:

Nice lure. How much does it cost?
