I haven't been at the lagoon in over a year and thought I'd go down and do some recon fishing. Forecast called for 8 mile an hour winds, with 12 mile an hour gusts, but it felt like the winds were way stroger. Got to the lagoon around 7:30 AM, saw white caps and told myself this was not going to be good. I was pretty disappointed to find the water level way low, but I didn't get up early for nothing.
Didn't get one bite, but did see a fat largemouth floating around...looked like a female full of eggs:Sad: - probably didn't survive after being C&R'd. Water was so low, the fishing pier was completely out of the water...going to try it again soon.
