Hey yall its been awhile since i been to puddingstone i remember a couple of years ago there use to be free entrance on weekdays during off season or so. Is it still like that or you have to pay now?

if you go in sailboat cove before the office opens you can get in for free.

Don't count on that. I try and drive across the Dam from the Via Verde early in the mornings to get to my moms house overlooking the lake and the iron gates are closed about 3/4 of the time .
That is the same access road needed to get to the sail boat entrance .
You can park in the Via Verde ride share parking lot and walk or ride a bike in for free.

Cause: Internet fish reports proving the bite turns on earlier than the county thought

I think it's good to charge earlier, keeps some traffic away.

How early are the gates opening now at the keosk ?

I don't think we fisherman have much effect on there decision making...just warming up early and more picnickers and families showing up
