3/2 @ the vine

Just Marissa ( my 6 y/o girl ) and I again sharing some time on the water. We were on water at 7 and we landed our 1st fish about 30 min. after. It was about 2 lbs.
We managed 2 more the biggest @ 3.5 lbs. Not a bad day.
We threw all I had at them, why are these fish not hitting the P/B?
Seemed really slow all around but the weather was awesome, As were the burgers we had at the café.
We ended the day @ the lagoon but no luck with the exception of a fish given to us by a kind gentleman.
We took a picture at the tackle shop but still waiting for them to post it.
By the way she had a blast, she usually sides with her mom on things but after a day of fishing it was all about dad.:Big Grin:
Also I am looking for some info on jigging can anyone please steer me in a direction??

For jigging you typically need a longer pole to cast those tiny jigs

I use an 8' with 3lb test and a 500 size reel
Get a good reel with a good drag.. Helps landing fish on such light line

Get some jigs and start throwing em.

I'd recommend some white, pink, yellow, orange or any combo of those colors and you should be good
You can also use a trout worm or mealworm on the tip of the jig hook itself.

Great job getting the daughter on the fish!! That's a life time memory.
If you're jigging, great advice above.
If P/B, change depths, leader lenghts, colors, etc. Try different spots, but that's sometimes hard at the Vine.
We all get skunked, but you beat it, so it was a good day.
