Made a quick run this morning.

Hit some spots quick as im down to one eye due to a bee sting has my right eye swole shut.

Had to respool and since the fish have been a bit bigger, I switched over to 15 lb cxx..

Do not like the bigger line dia.. going back to 10...

Regarding flukes and sensitivity to the bottom I noticed a huge disparity in the lack of fall with the 15.

Chucking and winding traps and jerkbaits no biggie but holy smokes it effected my availability to contact bottom a lot today.

Landed 5 missed 3 hits.

Those look like 2 solid fish. Did they put up any fight?

The reason i ask is because the last couple fish i've caught hardly put up any fight.

For a three pounder they did

Each had a drag peel run in them.

Second gave me a short strike way out. Lately they have been coming back and hitting it a second time.

I worked it all the way to the bank and just out of sight.. WHAM... When they hit close to the bank they are HOT!!!

Big 20 ft drag peel initially then with the 15 lb and jig in the skull I muscled him.

Those 15 inchers we can overpower too easily
