Are The Bass Biting At Huntington Flats?

Hi All
I'm taking out some friends who haven't fished in years and one of there grandsons out of Alamitos on Saturday. I'm staying costal Palos Verde, Horseshoe Kelp, or Huntington Flats. I was was wondering if the bass are biting or should I target some other fish like bonita ECT in any of these areas. Any help would be appreciated.

the water has turned over a bit....go for rockfish,sculpin etc..You can catch bass on the structure on the shoe' and the flats ..u have to fish right in it....
