fish=20" hali estimated
started out with the grub hoping that i could get into the slabs but i threw grub for about 1 1/2 for nothing and then it was back to back dinks so i walked back down the beach but tied on a daiwa db minnow and got hit hard pulled some drag and stopped and did the head shakes in my mind i was like noway hali in samo? and beached it but got the fisherman's release good thing because i had no camera i was stoked and a good way to break in the new rod and reel

Congrats on the surf hali. The DB Minnow works pretty well in the surf. I still have a few as backups for my LC's. Just wish Daiwa would make a slightly larger version of it. Way to break in the new setup

Thanks for the intel on the minnow. I am glad that there are alternatives to the LC that are also producing.

Good job peanut! Looks like the flatties are starting to show up one at a time!
I am sure that 20" put up a pretty decent fight. Those teenagers sure are feisty.

What new set-up did you buy btw?

YESSSS!!!!!! Way to go PB! Glad you got that first one on the new setup under your belt. So, was it on the Trilene XL like you had mentioned or did you end up spooling up with something else? Either way, you got one...time for that legal now!!!:Wink:

Congratulations!
Don

Good job on the flattie, I was out there on Sunday with the family, had a good time, but the pier was packed with hundreds of people ,I felt like a fricking sardine in a can, the water clarity was good with little to know salad. No signs of bait fish though, people jigging with Lucky Luras had nada, next time I go, I'm breaking out the rod and hitting the beach.
