i just read that we can only fish to 50 fathoms. wasnt it 60. pretty soon we will only be able to fish in the bays for rockfish.
anyway i will try the short bank maybe friday for a few hours. then hit my top secret ling/cabezon hole for a quick 3/2.

The worst they will do on depth restrictions is 20 fathoms. They once had it for a brief period of time a number of years ago. The reason why 20 fathoms, all rockfish can be released at that depth and still survive.

i thought i was going but the wind is blowing. not terrible but it's 14 miles to short bank from channel islands harbor and i dont think it will get better today. hopefully i can get out this weekend.
