Fished on a 1.5 day trip on the Old Glory with Captain Joe Phillips. We fished just below Ensenada for limits of rock fish on glassy smooth water. Good food (they are now charging for meals). Excellent crew. Joe cleaned up the old Cherokee Geishia which is now Old Glory. I got my limits of reds n other rockfish mostly on frozen squid and live sardines. Also picked up a few on the locanus until I rocked it. Need at least 16 oz to drift on the bottom.

Nice. I have a 2-day coming up middle of March, Channel Islands trip (go lings!) so we won't head south but it will be good to get out.
I know why they named her the Cherokee Geisha, but to me it was like "just because you can, doesn't mean you should." Old Glory sounds much better.

The Cherokee Geisha was the sister ship to the el dorado, a boat i worked on for 4 years, with 3 summers at H&M landing.
I actually decked on the geisha for 2 days too...covering for a sick guy.

El Dorado is a great boat, lots of good times. I never fished the Geisha.
