Decent fishing in the monsoon. Rain, wind, and lots of hail...my boat was full of it. Nevertheless my partner and I did scratch a few nice fish including this chunky 3lber. Prefish for WON. Practicing hard with techniques that Matt has given all of us. Water temp was about 58 degrees...air temp at least 20 degrees colder. Brrrr....but fun. We were literally 1 of 2 boats there. There was only 1 trailer in the parking lot when we arrived, and the same one when we left. Its wierd to have the whole lake to yourself. Off the water at 2. Then, off to Yellow Basket for a Pastrami sandwich from the hottest 6ft blue eyed bleach blonde who works there. Ahhhhhhhh :-) Dont forget to get some 1000 island dressing for their Fries. Woot Woot :Envious:

Way to tough it out man. Nice healthy looking fish. We fish on Tuesdays and as of late a hand full of boats, if that, is the norm. Good luck at the WON tourney...

Nice fish, my wife said It snowed in parts of Hemet so it had to of been cold ! All i can say is BRRRRRRR .
I think the WON tourney is coming up soon it has not happened yet good kentucky .

Thanks guys...we ended up NOT fishing the tourney because my partner tweaked his back on this trip. He woke up at 3 am and couldnt move. Im not good enough to fish alone and Im not even sure I could.
We will be ready for the next one though.
And this was the Yellow Basket in Menifee on Newport and the 215. The woman of my dreams works there. LOL The perfect end to a good day of fishing.

She works at Yellow Basket in Mennifee. LOL I always see her when I go after fishing. You cant miss her. She goes about 6 ft tall. Has really long white blonde hair and huge blue eyes. Very stacked where a woman should be :-) Its freakin unbelievable. Of course she is only 20 or so, so I can only wish I could rewind myelf 15 years. LOL :-)
