Hello all,

I'm looking to hit puddingstone next week from my canoe. I've never fished it from a boat before and I figured I might do a little better than just fishing from the shore. And I heard that recently there was a big die off but how is the lake now? I'll be fishing for bluegill, crappie or trout. Can anybody reccomend any places to start or some tactics for this time of year? Thank you in advance

sorry to bearer of bad news... if u wanna "fish" puddingstone is ok to learn ur canoe and keep ur fingers crossed...(poor reports all month)...; if u wanna "catch" well ur odds are better a local pay lake or ocean harbors.....

Bass are biting , sunfish are not to be found easily until Spring . Try trout in South shore swim area a few are being caught
Catfish by the dam areas may be good .
It will be A HARD DAY so like others have posted you may get skunked not knowing the lake very well.
