Went up north recently to do some fishing, we caught some hold over trout in the Owens River as well as quite a few bass, nothing of any size so I didnt take any pictures of the fish, however we did come accross something worth taking shots of.

Bassman your first posted photo is well worth a small enlargement and framing. It shows proportioon and size, good shot. The others are great also. Both 1 and 2 in a double frame would look nice on the wall in the den or study.

Thanks, I actually took over 100 High Res shots, about 5MP each, of him with my Canon equipped with 200mm f/2.8L II with Extender EF 2x III, which equals about 400mm. The wife wants to blowup some of the shots to poster size, the pictures I posted are scaled down considerably.

Beautiful shots, the Bald eagles have always been a great bonus to fishing PVR in the winter. A few years back I was fishing the shore with my wife and sister and my brother in law was out in his tube when one of the nest bald eagles swoop down and pulled a trout out of the lake not to far from him. Too bad I am up in Northern Maine for the next year and a half finishing my nursing degree. Sure do miss the sierras however, I have had a few nice moose siting up here. Luckily not in front of my car.

We spent a few weeks in the Galcier park area of north Montanna in 2011. You just haven't lived until you had a bald eagle drop his load on your SUV. We were up at Hungry Horse damn just outside the park. I just pulled into a parking spot and SPLAT all over the car. It was covered from front to back. I was 5 seconds away from getting out.

Got to love the eagles. I've been going to the Sierra's for 35 years. I didn't see my first eagle up there until 2010...

Nice pics! My last trip up there, I spotted a group of big horn sheep.Eleven of them.
Unfortunately i only had my little pocket camera but still got some nice pics.
it's always exciting to see ther's still some wildlife left out there.
