I see that they have new Ethos b/c rods. A 6'10" MH rod is the oneI want. It's split grip, 11 Fuji micro guides, IM8 blank, new SK2 reel....for $80.
How can Academy offer a rod like that for that price? Closest rod with similar components except for the blank is the new Quantum EXO baitcast rod,but that retails for $180.
I want this rod, but I could wait till it goes on sale...I hope next month, Presidents sale.
I was thinking of getting the Omen 13 rod from TW, but this new Academy rod seems to be the better deal and better components.
Theres no Academy Sports in CA, so when the times right to buy, I'll just have to take my chances.
