Well I know you are talkin to the boys but if you go for trout, mice tails bounced off the bottom have worked, mid lake, or short leader with power bait by the 'dam'. Good luck :-)

Hey gogreens I would throw the hudds creepin along the bottom. Thats how I have gotten strikes. Tightlines.

The main bass forage here is generally crayfish, though Ive seen a few bruisers landed on hudds..

There is a tiny introduced population of shad, however they only stay in one spot, and are probably all dead now. Too clean for shad.

When its clear, smoke patterns work great.

Did well with the bass on suspending jerk bait during this time of year. Use super long pauses between jerks. GL

Up shallow? That whole lakes about 3ft deep! Don't get excited I know there a couple of areas where it may reach 10-12ft,also I've seen many big bass eat hooked trout,so they will eat the replicas, hope you get em.

Laguna actually gets pretty deep. The bottom varies and the rear portion of the lake gets to about 17 feet deep.
